Daybreak

The darkness weighs heavily on my body, tired and strained
The wind caresses gently, tempting me with sleep
"Why fight slumber, what is there to be gained?"
I argue with myself whilst my conscience weeps.

Then daybreak comes and light floods the skies
Driving back the shadows to their rightful place
All the fearful creatures and their terrible cries
Disappear in the blessed sun's warm grace

Shatter

As you regain the slightest bit of consciousness, your senses are assailed by a putrid stench in the air. You try to move your body, but your arms and legs are too heavy. A deep biting cold creeps through to your heart and begins to spread quickly, and you become aware that you are in a pool filled with some sort of warm fluid. It rises slowly, but surely, and you realize that within moments, you would be submerged in it if you do not wrest your body out of the pool somehow. Gathering all your will, you try again to lift your cold and heavy body but it refuses. As the cold slowly overpowers you and drives your consciousness back into oblivion, you come to the realization that you are drowning in a pool of your own blood.

Originally titled "Shatter, Sky Princess", this piece was written on the 7th of April, 2007 while I was first year Junior College Student.

Untitled 01

I yearn to lay down my heavy head,
To rest my weary body on a bed.
But alas many a task are set,
Merciless master, no reprieve I get.

Struggling with constitution weak,
Vision blurred, disposition meek.
Serve my beloved master, that I will do.
Denizens of Hell, let me pass through.

I Cannot Die

My life is forfeit should you so decide
That I'm not worthy to stand by your side
But one thing I believe, this I sincerely do
That I cannot die, until I have lived for you.

Blood for My Bed

How lovely, how warm, how soft is my bed.
It flows around my body, it embraces me in red.
How beautiful the ceiling, so clean, so white.
Just like a beacon in darkness, that bright shining light.

How thick the walls, so solid, so hale.
A wonderful shield for my body so frail.
How clear the windows, how breathtaking the view.
Farewell dear world, I bid thee adieu.
